matter and form

According to Aristotle, we can in fact analyze everything that exists in terms of matter and form.

Bad example:

1. There is a material - the bricks
2. This material acquires a certain form - of the house
3. This form has been introduced to (or acturalized in) the bricks by the builder. the builder must possess the form (as a blueprint)
4. A house is a composite of matter (bricks) and form (house form)

There is only one way in which one can refer to the role of matter, there are 3 distinct ways in which we can refer to the role that the form plays when analysing or explaining someting
